Film Festival | Cannes in Phnom Penh

The Cannes Film Festival is coming to Phnom Penh!

For this 4th edition of the festival, Institut français du Cambodge, Fable Cinema and Legend Cinema are joining forces to roll out the Cannes red carpet in Phnom Penh: from May 15 to 26, 2024, come and share the thrill of the screenings of La Croisette!

More than 20 films from the official selection will be presented, including the 2023 Palme d’Or, Anatomy of a Fall by Justine Trinet, as well as some of the classic masterpieces of cinema history awarded at Cannes, for the pleasure of our audiences of all ages.

Single fee of $3 per screening. 
Tickets for the IFC screenings will be on sale on site from May 10. Tickets for the Fable Cinema and Legend Cinema Olympia Mall screenings will be on sale on site the same day of the screening at their respective venue.

The conflict between artistic expression and commercial opportunity parallels Paul’s sudden estrangement from his wife Camille Javal , who becomes aloof with Paul after being left alone with Prokosch, a millionaire playboy.

After the end of the Cambodian Civil War, people in Cambodia struggled in their return to their normal lives. Among them is Savannah, a kickboxer. A survivor of the war, who lost most of his family to the horrors of the Khmer Rouge, he lives with his uncle in Phnom Penh. Savannah begins a romance with a 19-year-old bar girl, Srey Poeuv, whom he wants to help clear her debt.
