While we are witnessing a revival of French studies and the use of the French language in Asia, all countries that have this language in common will celebrate in 2020 the half-century of the creation of the International Organisation of la Francophonie. How many French speakers are there today? Where do they live ? Who studies French today? What literature enriches the language outside of France? Finally, what is the future of French, carrier of a long history and a system of values, in the globalization of today?

Conference followed by a book signing session at Carnets d’Asie bookstore.
