Forced to flee his native Bangladesh, young Fahim and his father leave the rest of the family for Paris. As soon as they arrive, they begin a real struggle to obtain political asylum, with the threat of being deported at any moment. Thanks to his gift for chess, Fahim meets Sylvain, one of the best chess coaches in France. Between mistrust and attraction, they will get to know each other and become friends.
