The French Institute is a partner of the 7th edition of the Cambodia International Film Festival (CIFF)!
From 2017 onwards, the famous Cambodian festival will take place in March, and will continue to gather, during 6 days in a row, thousands of young Cambodians as well as foreigners from all over the world in the cinema theaters of Phnom Penh. This year, from March 4 to March 9, 2017, more than 160 movies are scheduled to show.
Among the Cambodian films in the spotlight, “Exile” by Rithy Panh, “Diamond Island” by Davy Chou as well as “Jailbreak” by Jimmy Henderson. Special events include the 10th anniversary celebration of the Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center, which will present rare archives on silver screens. Asian creativity will widely feature, through the screening of “Asian three-fold mirror: Reflections”, by Sotho Kulikar, Brillante Mendoza and Isao Yukisada, as well as a selection of shorts from Asian directors.
The Cambodia International Film Festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and organized by the Cambodia Film Commission and the Bophana Center.
