Goût de France / Good France will celebrate French gastronomy in various locations worldwide on March 19, 2015. Over 1000 chefs on all five continents are expected to join the event, honouring the merits of French cuisine and its values: sharing, enjoying, and respecting the principles of high-quality, environmentally responsible cuisine.

Le Bistrot de l’Institutfrançais is joining the event with a special menu on Thursday 19th March at 7pm:

Cold starter : Foie gras profiteroles
*Wine : Gustave Lorentz, Fleurelle, Alsace AOP, Pinot blanc

Hot starter : Poached egg with Mekong fish and saffron
*Wine : Bouchard Père et Fils, La Vignée, Bourgogne AOP, Pinot noir

Fish or crustacean : Sea Bass with water spinach and ginger butter
*Wine : Chapoutier Belleruche, Côte du Rhône AOP, Grenache/ Bourboulenc

Meat or poultry: Cooked beef dish rating low temperature 72 hours
*Wine : Château Haut-Selve, grave AIP, Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon

Selection of cheeses
*Wine : Gérard Bertrand Terroir, Languedoc IGP, Picpoul de Pinet

Dessert : All chocolate trilogy
*Wine : Guilbaud Frères, Vouvray AIP “Demi-sec”, Chenin blanc
