[As part of the French Fortnight]

What does the change in the consumption of information by the public as well as the calling into question of the economic model of the media mean for journalism and journalists today? More than ever in competition with other ways of communicating and spreading information without being a journalist and without using the historical channels of the press, the radio or TV networks, what role can the journalist play today?

How are traditional journalists living with these mutations, often sudden and brutal? Do the specificities of the profession, frequently criticized as a cast, offer a protection for its members, or are they a handicap? Finally, will journalism survive the generalization of live communication, the phenomenal acceleration of the spread of information as well as its trivialization?
